Braille Transcribing Services
Being visually impaired myself and having blind and visually impaired family members, I know the importance of accessibility, and in this case, the importance of giving blind people access to letters, leaflets and menus they can read themselves.
Blind people don't want to be read to, they want the independence to read things for themselves.
I specialise in single page leaflets, letters and booklets up to 75 pages, such as menus, information booklets and tourist guides. At this time I am only able to offer single sided printing.
I offer all documents on A4, A5 and A6 premium 160gsm card, in various colours, giving you the opportunity to not only be inclusive but to also stay on brand.
I also offer the same size in clear adhesive, these are great for placing over signs, posters, wedding stationery or business cards.
I offer braille in any language where a braille code exists.
So whether you're after a single page letter or 500 on brand coloured leaflets, I can help.
Stay on Brand
A lot of braille documents are printed on white or brown paper, and this is perfect for books or heavy use products but for single use leaflets, letters or even low use products such as menus and information booklets, we can liven things up a bit and use coloured card.
I understand the need to be accessible but also to keep within the colour scheme of your event or brand.
How To Order
In the first instance, please get in touch to request a quote (form at the bottom of this page) and I will respond within 48 hours with a quote.
If you're happy with the quote and would like to go ahead, we'll agree on a dispatch date and I will then issue an invoice.
Because I am a small business, I do request payment upfront for the majority of orders, but if for any reason you're unable to do this, please do let me know and we can discuss options.
You will be able to add the date required by and any relevant information when you complete the request a quote form and you also have the option to upload the document when requesting the quote.
Pricing
Pricing varies depending on the paper size, number of pages, complexity and turnaround time.
To give you an example, 100 A4 leaflets on coloured 160gsm card would cost £2 per page plus postage.
100 A5 leaflets on coloured 160gsm card would cost £1.50 per page plus potage.
All wire bound booklets will incur a set up cost and then a cost per booklet, the larger the quantity, the lower the cost per booklet.
There is no minimum order for anything.
How to Prepare Your Files
Proofread your document for spelling and grammatical errors, you may incur additional charges if I need to reprint something due to errors in the original text.
If you require braille in a language other than English, please ensure the document has been thoroughly checked, as I can only check the braille.
Ensure the document is formatted in the way you'd like it to appear in braille, so please ensure headers are styled correctly, rather than just made to look like headings, ensure the alignment is correct and any line breaks are included.
